Gandy's last look
A week before she died (of lymphosarcoma) she was up in the bed of the truck while we unloaded firewood. She always wanted to select her own piece to chew on while we worked. Damn I miss her so bad!
Sunrise After Snow
The sun was just cresting the ridge, flaming through the ice but casting no heat until much later in the day. The beauty of the morning melted quickly away--all the more important to get out well before you want to on in the first daylight hours after a snowy night.

The blue shade and white sunlight snow, the depth of view into the forest, and the sweeping sloping heaping shapes caught my attention. I tweaked it a bit with the oil painting filter in PixelBender.
